Technical description:
MB-118EI Fire resistant walls EI120 class
The MB-118 EI fire-resistant wall system is used for the construction of fire-resistant separators with EI120 fire resistance class. The system is classified as non-proliferating fire (NRO). Its design is technically related to the MB-78EI fire wall and door system, which means many common components (such as glazing strips, cooling pads, swelling bands, gaskets and most accessories), as well as production and assembly technology that is analogical to the base system.
The MB-118EI system is based on thermally insulated five-chamber aluminum profiles with the design depth of 118 mm. In the internal chamber of the profiles as well as in the insulation spaces between the profiles there are fire insulation elements. On the outer surfaces additional swelling tapes are added and the whole structure is complemented by steel accessories connecting both parts of the profiles. Fillings in partition walls of the MB-118EI system can be 48 to 84 mm thick. Thanks to its symmetrical construction, the structures retain fire resistance in the EI120 class both indoors and outdoors. An important feature affecting the functionality of these fire walls is the ability to mount the MB-78EI door in them.
The MB-118EI is subject to ITB approval AT-15-9186 / 2013
