Glazed fire-resistant roofs

Technical description:

Glazed fire-resistant roofs

Based on the MB-SR50 EI and MB-SR50N EI aluminum facades, it is possible to make glazed roofs of fire resistance class REI20 / RE30 according to PN-EN 13501-2 + A1: 2010 standard.

The profiles of posts and beams playing the role of rafters and purlins in the roof are appropriately connected together and form aluminum frame structure, attached to the structure of the building with special supports. Similarly to the facade base systems, these profiles are equipped with special fire protection inserts, which consist of a reinforced aluminum profile, covered by fireproof panels. The standard solution does not require additional reinforcement with eg steel.

Fire tests performed on glazed fire in two versions: as a flat and tilted design have ensured the classification of roofs with a tilt angle ranging from 0 ° to 80 ° from the level. Slabs with the depth of 85 ÷ 225 mm and purlins with a depth of 65 ÷ 189.5 mm can be used.
The panes are embedded in fitting grooves of rafters and purlins as well as pressure strips, which is attached to the load-bearing profiles. There is a possibility of using glazing panes of thickness from 36 to 52 mm. The maximum dimensions of the glass are: 2100 mm x 1100 mm. It is worth noting, however, that it is permissible to change these dimensions without exceeding the maximum area of the glass and that the fireproof glass can be used as a combination with any glass placed on the outside.
